David Black of Belvidere, Ill., is seeking the IL Green Party nomination for Attorney General. He holds a Ph.D. from The University of Michigan and a J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law. He has over 30 years experience in the general practice of law, representing consumers in Illinois and federal Courts. He is active in the Illinois Green Party, serving as the party’s 2006 and 2010 nominee for Illinois Attorney General.
He is a member of the American Civil Liberties Union and Rockford Peace and Justice Action Committee. He volunteers with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and with the Justice for our Neighbors Immigration Law Clinic.
He has taught a wide variety of college courses and published articles in the Labor Law Journal, Illinois Bar Journal, Chicago Bar Record, and Clearinghouse Review.
